Welcome to Lammermuir Tours

Lammermuir Tours offers an exciting and varied selection of guided walks for groups or individuals in this magnificent range of hills in East Lothian, Scotland. With a wild beauty and solitude akin to the Scottish Highlands yet lying just a short drive from Edinburgh, the Lammermuirs promise a unique experience with steep or easy ascents, vast moorland plateaux, streams, lochs, woodlands, prehistoric forts, and dramatic views over the Firth of Forth to the Angus mountains and south to the Cheviots.

Our expertise and knowledge, based on years of climbing experience in this remarkable landscape, ensure you will enjoy the best possible day out.

Lammermuir Tours is managed by David Gray (pictured), who has been climbing in the hills and mountains for more than thirty years, on Scotland's highest peaks and also in the French Pyrénées and Swiss Alps. The Lammermuirs have been his home range for over a decade.

From steep climbs onto vast rolling plateaux to gentler strolls around stunning lochs (please click on our GALLERY button below for photos), our walks use a combination of established paths and unmarked routes discovered through years of first hand experience.

Half-day and full-day tours are available, to suit all abilities and tailored to your specific requirements (please click on our ROUTES button below for details). Every walk starts from our easily accessed meeting point in Haddington, off the main A1 route through East Lothian. From there, we make the short drive to the start of you chosen climb (please bring your own vehicle).

Our rates are extremely competitive.

HALF-DAY TOURS (three to four hours) - £20 per person.

FULL-DAY TOURS (five to six hours) - £35 per person.

NEW! Gift vouchers now available - please ask!

For those wishing after-walk refreshments, East Lothian offers a superb range of cafés and pubs to suit all tastes.
